Integrated Automation Solutions
An optional integrated workpiece handling unit facilitates loading, unloading, remnants removal, and handling of parts weighing up to 25 kg and with a diameter of up to D 120 mm. This unit is equipped with 2 CNC axes controlled from the machine.
Further tailored automation solutions, like conveyor belts or robot handling with additional functions, can be customized and integrated according to the customer's needs.
Modular-Based Machining
The INDEX G420 modular system provides extensive flexibility. It allows for up to 3 tool carriers with Y axes in the working area, accommodating various workpiece types. The spacious working area accommodates parts up to 1600 mm / 2300 mm in length. The robust main and counter spindles handle bar diameters up to D 120 mm and chuck parts up to D 400 mm. Turret steady rests are available for machining longer or shaft-type parts.
The INDEX G420 is also capable of simultaneous 5-axis machining.
The new design prioritizes an ergonomic setup and operating concept. Key components are easily accessible for operators and maintenance personnel. Optionally, a 2-axis workpiece handling system, tailored to machining processes, can be integrated for machine loading and unloading.
